This morning Laura found out she got the job in Ottawa, and is currently at her mom's place. She starts tomorrow morning. She gets to work in the same office as Rhonda for two weeks!

She also got a call from CanJet, and she has an interview on the 21st, the Monday after she comes back from Ottawa. She has to get three references ready for them, so she e-mailed three people before she left. The one she was most concerned about responding was the first to get back to her, in the affirmative. Another also responded, most likely saying yes, but I'm not sure yet.

I'm really happy these things are  working out for Laura. It's great to see her getting jobs after searching so hard for one.

I ordered two pairs of Hummel shoes today. They should arrive tomorrow. This is the most excited I've ever been about shoes.

Since Laura's in Ottawa, I will go down this weekend to see her and my parents, and quite possibly Pat as well. I'll transfer all my parents' stuff off my old computer so I can get it back here to use as an IE tester machine.

Settlers! Possibly meeting Pat's girlfriend!

When I'm left to my own devices I feel so weird. One very common feeling is a conflict of wanting to do impossible things, like watch a movie on a big screen, from bed, with my laptop to do other stuff at the same time, and fall asleep to it all. (Well, technically not impossible, but absolutely ridiculous to even attempt to set up.) What that sounds like is a desperate desire for every type of entertainment and comfort rolled up into one. I guess that makes sense.
